Neutral Density Filters (ND)

Take control of your long exposures and helps smooth out the chaos in your seascapes and landscapes

NiSi Neutral density Filters create a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control the depth of field and convey movement in your images. NiSi Neutral density filters are made from high-quality optical glass with nano coating to prevent losing any single bit of detail. NiSi Neutral density filters offer a true-to-life colour and do not affect the colouration of the image.  Available in 3 Stop, 6 Stop, 6 Stop with CPL, 10 Stop and 15 Stop.

3 Stop (ND8, 0.9)

By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control the depth of field and convey movement in your images.  The ND8 is widely used to capture water flow in waterfalls or motion in street photography images as well as to create wider apertures when using flash outdoors.

6 Stop (ND64, 1.8)

A neutral density (ND) filter uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens.  The ND Filter also can enable greater motion blurring and image detail by allowing a large aperture and a slow shutter speed. The ND64 6 stops ND filter is generally used early morning, late afternoon or in shaded environments to capture the motion in your scene.

The combined CPL can also help reduce reflections and haze.

10 Stop (ND1000, 3.0)

A neutral density (ND) filter uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens. The ND Filter also can enable greater motion blurring and image detail by allowing a large aperture and a slow shutter speed.  The ND1000 10 Stop is commonly used for long exposures during brighter hours of the day to create the effect of cloud movement or misty water.

15 Stop (ND32000, 4.5)

The NiSi Circular ND32000 or 15 Stop ND Filter creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than usually required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control the depth of field and convey movement in your images.  The ND32000 (15 Stop) is widely used to capture extreme long exposure images (usually 3-6 mins in daylight), to create effects like cloud movement or cloud softening.
